Update Sunday 9th Jan

For those of you who are wondering how it's going -we are still at home! It seems inevitable that there are last minute hitches. Ours have been to do with everywhere closing down over the holidays delaying deliveries. Also the fact that we were busy enjoying ourselves with Christmas, Michele's birthday and New Year giving us lots of opportunity to make the most of catching up with family and friends we wont be seeing for a while.

We hope to be off on Tuesday, ready or not. Hot shower is installed, tent is back on the roof, hair products and several bars of Green and Blacks dark chocolate are packed so not sure what else we need to wait for now!

Day 1 12.1.2005

We finally set off today after a week of hectic activity.
We have reached Kent and are staying the night with Rhona and Richard our daughter and son in law who are handily placed for an easy get away to Dover tomorrow.

The Land Rover appears to be incredibly full despite our planning of where everything would go. As we go through France and Spain we will have to do some repacking.

It feels great to finally be on the way although there have been a lot of goodbyes and we will miss everyone.
