THE PIED PIPER OF ELY    APES'JAPES    WITHYCOT WOODCRAFT

I have played musical instruments since I was given a Descant Recorder on my 7th. birthday, that was in 1952. As time has passed, I have grown older and the instruments have grown larger!

Since that time I have also played the Piano and latterly Electric Keyboards and Bass Guitar in various bands. I have always used any musical ability I might have to entertain other people. I also play the Bagpipes and you can find out all about that on the appropriate page.

I have always made things in wood and developed an interest in turning whilst still at school. After a long gap, I started again about four years ago and have discovered that most success for me is to be found by making "Treen". This is the generic term for small wooden household items, such as are used by Re-enactors.
