THE PIED PIPER OF ELY
becomes
ELY PIPER'S NOYZE
Having played in bands of various kinds all his life, he missed the companionship and camaraderie and decided to expand into a conventional group of the period, playing mainly 'loud wind'.
These instruments are Shawms and Sackbuts and initially included one of each, plus percussion.
The collective noun for groups of these instruments is a "Noise", we just changed the spelling!
Plans are advanced to add another member very soon and eventually yet another. This will enable us to play in 3 and then 4-part harmony, thereby producing a complete sound.
Like the Pied Piper before it, when it performs in the city of Ely and its environs,this group includes collectors for ELY COMMUNITY FIRST RESPONDERS, its designated charity.
