One of my friends who I used to play football with every week has been putting money into our bank account every month for us to use as we see fit to benefit the work that we are doing.
We have tried to use this money to purchase things that improve the working lives of staff in the Health Centre, and that improve the conditions for patients.
We have bought curtains for the windows on the wards, so that people walking past cannot see in. This helps to maintain the dignity of patients.
We have had some patient cabinets made to go next to beds so that patients can hide their possessions (before this they went on the floor). We have not yet been able to afford cabinets for all beds.
We bought material for uniforms for all of the nurses, and shirts and trousers for the lab staff. These have been made and are now being worn.

Really boringly, we bought some plastic trays to put on a shelf on the ward so that supplies can be better organised.
We bought four metal pedal-bins to replace the old rubbish bins that had a lid that needed lifting. These are much better for sanitation, as we use them for clinical waste (blood, pus, etc).
In the future we will buy or get made some screens to go around patient's beds during examinations (at the moment we use a sheet, but some people here don't use anything to provide privacy during procedures). We also wish to get more patient cabinets made.
