The Poisonwood Bible - Barbara Kingsolver. Incredible story of a missionary family in the Congo. A 'how not to do it" guide as told by the daughters and wife of a fundamentalist Southern Baptist who thinks that he can change Africa. The family are the only thing that really change.
In the Footsteps of Mr Kurtz - Michela Wrong. After reading this book I now understand a little of the wars and decline in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
